3D Printed Hollow Form Hybrid

Image
Early concept work These are the early concepts that I modelled, i really liked the twist tool, it was a very fun tool to use that produced interesting forms. This is my final concept that I had made before we collaborated! Nadeige's early concept work! Early Hybrid designs!  These were mine! These were Nadeige's! Final Renders This is the final form we went with, it takes the twisting elements from both of our concepts and combines them to create a goblet.

Coaster Final Submission

This wasnt super hard to put together after laser cutting. I had to saw 4 brass pipes to length, feed them through the coaster layers, and then I soaked al the holes in super glue. Very happy with how it turned out, it is functional.

Coaster Renders and Concept

My coaster design is a mid century modern inspired, multipurpose coaster/ashtray. I think it could be laser cut out of wood in 6 layers, glued and stained, and assembled with brass rods. It also could have a sliding function to close the ashtray at the bottom. There could be many different ways to use the bottom tray. It could be used as an ashtray, the sliding action closing the lid would be helpful in this context. It could also be used as a snack holder, a coin tray, sugar and cream holder for when the coaster is used for coffee, so many possibilities!

Coaster Project Concept Sketches

Im most excited about the last coaster, i think it would look the best and offer more funcionality then a traditional coaster. I would also like to make the aphex twin one, but its kind of boring and not as original as the last one. I wamt to make a coaster that ill actually use, and i think the last concept would be used the most.

Castle Project FINAL FINAL Result

Image
This is my actual final castle project. I thought that the entire project was due last week, I am happy I had another week to build some more stuff and rework the lighting with new knowledge from class. I have a few "daytime" pics to show the actual construction of the castle. Below those, a few pics with the final spooky lighting.
