1x1x1 Voxel Model (First Project in Rhino)

This is my finished project made entirely of 1x1x1 cubes snapped to a grid. I used the gumball tool to drag and copy the cubes. This is an unshaded version of my completed project.

I started out by creating a large solid base and copied and pasted layers of "rock" upwards. I then added solid walls of voxels with a glass texture to create the water. I added the fire, tent, and finally the trees.

I added probably 10 different textures including 3 different rock shades, 3 different materials for wood, a few for the fire, the smoke, the tent, the metal head of the axe, and the water.
Adding textures was one of the more difficult and taxing parts of the process, whenever making a tree for example i had to make sure to apply the texture to the first voxel before copying blocks so i didn't have to drag and drop a texture on each voxel one at a time.

Using the Ray Tracing view mode, I captured these two final screenshots. I added a sun simulation, set the time of day to morning, and this created a nice orange directional light. Not really sure how I did that.
I also used the "emission" material type to make the fire cast a warm yellow glow. This doesn't work until you use the ray tracing view mode.

This scene is meant to represent a camping trip i went on in the summer. I went camping with my entire family, however most nights i hiked along the shore of the lake we were staying at and set up my own campsite where there was space. I was completely alone along the shore with the only thing behind me being large cedar trees. It was very nice and the highlight of my summer.
